Alan H. Stanfill

Mr. Alan H. Stanfill’s career in business and law spans more than 25 years. He practiced complex commercial litigation in intellectual property, insurance, class actions, real estate development, construction, and contracts management and interpretation for over a decade in the State and Federal courts in California.

Mr. Stanfill has also served as general counsel to private interests in the areas of negotiation of business contracts and agreements, investment evaluation, estate planning, tax, risk management, insurance, business and trust structures and asset acquisitions. He also served as a specialist services manager, trustee, facilitator and charitable structures advisor.

While active in litigation Mr. Stanfill participated during a substantial number of mediations conducted at the state, federal district and federal circuit level. In addition to extensive legal and business experience, Mr. Stanfill has received formal training in dispute resolution. These skills enable Mr. Stanfill to assist in complex negotiations between parties of unequal strength, effective communication in emotionally charged situations, and disputes where trust and enforcement are critical issues.

Mr. Stanfill has broad interests in science, business and law. He holds BS, MBA and JD degrees from Brigham Young University. Mr. Stanfill was admitted to the California Bar in 1988. He is a member of the bars for the Ninth Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court.

Becky V. Christensen

Becky Christensen is a mediator and trial lawyer with over 30 years experience in resolving complex commercial litigation, including commercial and residential real estate issues, commercial contracts, bankruptcy and debt collection, environmental law, employment law, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, commercial torts, trademark, copyright and patent infringement, and trade secret matters. Her work has included representing and working with companies from the United States, Peoples Republic of China, the Republic of China, Japan, Korea, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

Ms. Christensen has successfully participated in dozens of mediations involving multi-million dollar disputes for individuals, Fortune 500 companies as well as small cap firms across diverse industries, including consumer products such as toys, furniture, nutraceuticals, apparel and cosmetics; computer hardware and software; entertainment for production and talent; internet gaming; and electronic publishing and distribution. Ms. Christensen assists disputants with pivotal, creative strategies to serve the mediating parties.

Ms. Christensen holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and a B.S. Economics from Virginia Tech.

Ms. Christensen is a member of the California Bar, United States District Courts for the Central, Northern and Southern Districts of California, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Ms. Christensen has served a variety of charitable and community organizations, including Board of Directors for, preventing child abuse, National Association of Women Business Owners, Orange County California, Washington Square Homeowners Association, Paradise Cove Homeowners Association, the Editorial Review Board, Journal of Law, Ethics and Intellectual Property (SJI), AIPLA, Anti-Piracy and Anti-Counterfeiting Subcommittee, and crisis counselor and supervisor for the Cal State Northridge University telephone crisis line.
